This is a personal website. I keep data collection to the minimum, and here is exactly what happens.

Analytics

I use Google Analytics to see roughly how many people visit and which pages they read. It only loads if you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you decline, or ignore it, nothing is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is remembered in your browser’s local storage, and you can clear it at any time to be asked again.

The contact form

If you send a message, your name, email address and message are emailed to me directly. They are not stored on the site or passed to a third-party service. I use them only to reply to you.

Writing feed

The home page asks this site’s own server for my latest Substack posts. Your browser does not contact Substack directly until you click through to a post.
